As for industrial metals, May copper HGK6, -0.49% added 1.7 cents, or 0.8%, to $2.246 a pound, July platinum PLN6, +0.49% fell $7.30, or 0.8%, to $946.20 an ounce, while June palladium PAM6, +0.58% shed $5.65, or 1%, to $567 an ounce.
