In other metals, May copper HGK6, +0.47% lost .2 cents, or 0.1%, to $2.1380 a pound, July platinum PLN6, +0.28% gained $8.10, or 0.8%, to $951.60 an ounce, while June palladium PAM6, +0.59%  declined $8.75, or 1.6%, to $543.65 an ounce.
