SIA Engineering Company and Snecma, the developer of aircraft engines, have signed an agreement today appointing SIAEC as CFM International’s authorised on-site support (OSS) service provider for the LEAP-1A and LEAP-1B engines in Asia Pacific.
As a Snecma-approved OSS provider, SIAEC will offer on-wing maintenance services to operators of the CFM LEAP-1A and LEAP-1B engines in Asia-Pacific region.
The LEAP-1A is one of two engine options for the Airbus A320neo family, while the LEAP-1B is the exclusive powerplant for the Boeing 737 MAX.
The LEAP engines are produced and marketed by CFM, a 50/50 joint company between Snecma (Safran) in France and GE in the United States.
SIA Engineering closed 0.28% lower at $3.60 on Thursday.
