SIA Engineering appointed on-site service provider for A320neo, Boeing 737 Max engines

SIA Engineering Company and Snecma, the developer of aircraft engines, have signed an agreement today appointing SIAEC as CFM International’s authorised on-site support (OSS) service provider for the LEAP-1A and LEAP-1B engines in Asia Pacific.

As a Snecma-approved OSS provider, SIAEC will offer on-wing maintenance services to operators of the CFM LEAP-1A and LEAP-1B engines in Asia-Pacific region.

The LEAP-1A is one of two engine options for the Airbus A320neo family, while the LEAP-1B is the exclusive powerplant for the Boeing 737 MAX.

The LEAP engines are produced and marketed by CFM, a 50/50 joint company between Snecma (Safran) in France and GE in the United States.

SIA Engineering closed 0.28% lower at $3.60 on Thursday.
