Elsewhere in metals trading, copper for July HGN6, +0.27% edged up by less than half a cent to $2.051 a pound—up about 1% on the week. July silver SIN6, -0.49% shed 19.6 cents, or 1.1%, to $17.411 an ounce, cutting its weekly gain to 0.5%.July platinum PLN6, -0.75% fell $12.20, or 1.3%, to $966.10 an ounce, ending around 2.8% lower for the week, while September palladium PAU6, -0.08% lost $5.30, or 1%, to $529.65 an ounce, finishing the week 3% lower.
