On Nymex, August natural gas NGQ16, -0.07% settled at $2.734 per million British thermal units, up 3.2 cents, or 1.2%.August gasoline RBQ6, -1.24% tacked on 4.7 cents, or 3.4%, to $1.430 a gallon and August heating oil HOQ6, -0.81% also added 4.7 cents, or 3.3%, to $1.463 a gallon.
At the retail level, GasBuddy.com pointed out that gasoline prices have been falling for 30 days straight despite strong demand for the fuel.
