Raffles Medical posts record full-year revenue, declares final dividend 4.5 cents

Raffles Medical reported full-year earnings of $69.3 million, up 2.4% from the year before, on the back of record revenue of $410.5 million.

Revenue increased 9.6% from a year ago, spurred by increases in both healthcare and hospital services.

This came from sales contributions from newly acquired International SOS (MC Holdings) and its subsidiaries in Oct 17, 2015, as well as the expansion of RafflesMedical clinic network and insurance services for more corporate clients.

The group also saw increased patient load and greater patient acuity for the period.

However, higher staff costs, depreciation expenses and operating lease expenses weighed on its bottom line. This partly came from renovation works from its specialist clinics and more medical equipment for new centres at RafflesHospital and RafflesMedicalCentre Orchard.

The group declared a final dividend of 4.5 cents a share. Including interim dividend of 1.5 cents per share in August 2015, the total dividend for FY2015 is six cents a share, 9.1% higher than a year ago.

Raffles Medical closed 0.24% lower at $4.17 on Friday.
