Epic Research Singapore : S&P Market Update

On Monday, The Dow industrials DJIA +0.71%  closed down 179.11 points, or 1.1%, to 16,257.94. The S&P 500 index SPX +1.08%  shed 1.3% to 1,819.20, and the Nasdaq Composite COMP +1.70%  lost 1.5% to 4,113.30.  
 In earnings news, J.P. Morgan JPM +0.07%  reported fourth-quarter earnings of $1.30 per share, versus $1.39 in the year-ago period. Revenue came in at $24.1 billion, from $24.4 billion in the year-ago period. Shares of J.P. Morgan were 0.4% higher in premarket trading. Follow the live blog of J.P. Morgan’s earnings call here.

Wells Fargo WFC +0.07% shares were 0.5% lower in premarket after reporting fourth-quarter earnings per share of $1 on revenue of $20.7 billion.
