Oil futures lost 1% on Tuesday,
as expectations for a climb in weekly U.S. crude supplies and worries
over economic growth in China dulled the outlook for energy demand.
Natural-gas futures, meanwhile, settled near their lowest level in two
weeks ahead of Wednesday's expiration of March futures contracts. April
