April platinum PLJ4 +0.59%  rose $9.10, or 0.6%, to $1,473.70 an ounce, while June palladium PAM4 +0.16%  added a dime to $770.60. 

High-grade copper for May delivery HGK4 -0.41%  remained flat at $2.95 a pound.
