August gasoline RBQ4 +0.09%   fell nearly a cent to $3.04 a gallon and August heating oil HOQ4 -0.04%   closed up less than half a penny at $2.99 a gallon.

August natural gas NGQ14 -0.14%   settled at $4.455 per million British thermal units, up less than a penny, following Monday’s 1.2% climb.
