Global Logistic Properties, the provider of modern logistics facilities, signed a new 15,000 sqm (161,000 sf) lease with Akachan House at GLP Narita in Greater Tokyo for an undisclosed sum. Akachan House is a leading e-commerce retailer for baby products in Japan. The counter closed at $1.86 on Wednesday.
Shipbuilder Cosco Corporation has secured a construction contract from an Asian ship owner to build a self-elevating workover unit for an undisclosed price. The unit is slated for delivery in 3Q next year. Cosco ended unchanged at 38 cents.
Noble Group's chief operating officer, William Cronin, will be retiring from the commodities trader on March 31. He will remain as a part-time consultant to the group as vice-chairman of the Americas. Cronin, who has been with Noble since December 2012, oversaw he group's energy segment and operations in North and South America. Noble closed 1.2% at 41.5 cents.
Real estate group Hiap Hoe plans to sell its Australian property at 380 Lonsdale Street in Melbourne to A. & J. Brady for A$60 million ($61.9 million). The target date for completion of due diligence and negotiation of formal contract is April 15, and it hopes to reach a settlement by July 31. Hiap Hoe last traded at 66 cents.
